It was the fifth day of my trip and I was starting to get a little homesick so I made a call. I called my mom all the way back in St. Catharines to tell her that I safely made it to the wonderful city of Winnipeg. She was so happy to hear my voice. After the much needed conversation the sightseeing side of me kicked right back in. I wanted to see the difference between the art in Montreal and the art in Winnipeg, so I went to the Winnipeg Art gallery. I can really say that the art represented Winnipegs Heritage. After I was done at the gallery I decided to see a different form of art, so I went to Assiniboine Park Zoo. It was amazing to see all the wild animals so close. My personal favourite was the Slender Tailed Meerkat. After a long day in the hot summers sun, it was great to go swimming in the pool at the hotel and I couldn’t believe my eyes when Shaquille O’neal showed up in the gym. After a great day a good nights sleep felt awesome.

I woke up and I couldn’t believe that I was already over halfway done my trip. It was also a sigh of relief knowing that I was one day closer to shaggy and Velma. As I was walking downtown I couldn’t help but notice an old spitfire plane flying over, so naturally I followed it. I ended up inside of the Western Canada Aviation Museum. It was amazing seeing all of these planes that dated way back in time. I couldn’t believe that some of these planes had even fought in the war. I decided that was all the sightseeing I could do in one day so I went for a walk in downtown Winnipeg. I was astonished with my luck when I found one hundred dollars on the ground. I took it back to the hotel and spent it on dinner. I had to get to bed early because I had a long trip to Edmonton the next day.

A Polar Bear I saw at the zoo.

I was so relieved to get to Montreal in one piece because the whole way to Montreal I had to drive next to Betty White and it turns out she forgot her contact lenses at home. This time instead of going right out and doing the first activity I had planned, I decided to use the great invention called room service. When I was done with my order, I think they had to restock the fridge. After I was done eating I had to hurry up so I could get to the Bell Center on time. My friend Adam Sandler gave me rinkside tickets to see the Montreal Canadiens face the San Jose Shark. It was amazing game where P.K Subban scored a hat trick and Carey Price made forty two saves. After the game I was even given Carey Prices autographed stick. It was only around two thirty after the game so I took in some art at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.It was amazing to see Edwin Holgates piece called Nude by a Lake. That was all of the sightseeing I could do for one day so I returned back to my cozy hotel room and dreamt about the exciting things that I had planned for tomorrow.

The next day I met up with my longtime friend Stephen Harper to grab a cup of coffee, but everywhere we looked was full. This is when stephen made a few calls and suddenly a helicopter showed up. The helicopter flew us all the way to the top of Mount Royal where a table and two steaming cups of coffee were sitting for us. We talked over our coffee for about twenty minutes and then we both went our separate ways. After that I contemplated going into Montreal's national park, but decided not to. Instead I went to the Old Port of Montreal and went for a leisurely cruise with Kevin Durant. We talked basketball and I am pretty sure that I convinced Kevin for asking a trade to play with the Toronto Raptors. Anyways, after the four hour cruise I went back to the hotel and went to their four star restaurant. I had their filet medallions and they were divine. If it weren't for my tight schedule I definitely would have gone back. After my wonderful but lonely lunch, I called it a night and prepared for my travels to Winnipeg the next day.

At my first destination of this long road trip I was so excited to get started that I wasn’t even paying attention to the road and missed my exit. I decided that before checking into my hotel I should checkout Pier 21. When I arrived at Pier 21 it was like a blast from the past. I could imagine all of the immigrants sitting there just hoping that they would make the cut and not be sent back to the country that they came from. I was also one of the lucky people who was able to see the Pier 21 logbook. After I was done at the museum I checked into my hotel and had a large complimentary breakfast. I was so lucky that my hotel was on the banks of chocolate lake because it is an amazing view. I was so excited about my trip I didn’t realize how tired was and took a thirty minute power nap. I decided to relax for the rest of the day because I had a long trip ahead of me. So I spent the rest of my day roaming the Halifax Public Gardens, which are one of the oldest Victorian gardens in North America. After I was done there I went back to the hotel and went to bed without any dinner.

To start out day two in Halifax I went to breakfast at a very posh eggs and bacon restaurant in the heart of downtown. I decided that I needed to see the beautiful outdoors of Halifax, so off  to Kejimkujik National Park I went. It was wonderful to see the un-touched forested plains of Halifax. Well I was in the park I was so lucky to cross Little River and Big Dam Lake. I also was able to see the Ribbon Snake, a Black Bear and the Painted Turtle. For lunch I was able to hunt down a white-tailed deer and I cooked it over the fire. The fat really added to the flavour. Before I left I decided to see some of the really fine art in Halifax, so I visited the Alexander Keith’s Brewery. Although I wasn’t old enough to sample any of the beer, they took me on the tour of the brewery and it was amazing to see how much work it really takes just to make a single bottle of beer. The tour was also good because of how passionate our tour guide was on beer. I decided not to stay the night in Halifax and to start my drive to Montreal.

In the summer of 1996 Shaggy and Velma brought there shag carpet over to my house. We used to be really good friends, but then we grew apart. I have decided to take a ten day long trip to Vancouver where my friends have supposedly been seen. On the way I will be making a few stop so I can rest. I have decided that I want to start in Halifax and visit Pier 21. Next, I will go to Montreal and visit the Bell Center where the Montreal Canadiens play. After that I will travel to Winnipeg and visit the Winnipeg art gallery. After that I will go to Edmonton and I will visit the Telus World of Science. I will finally end up in Vancouver and will hopefully meet up with Shaggy and Velma. Also I will be stopping at some national parks too.
